Pamela Carol Ashley Brooks.  Pamela passed away on Monday, May 18, 1998 at her home after a two month illness.  She was a native of Battle Creek and a resident of Battle Creek at the time of her death.  She married David M. Brooks in 1966 in Battle Creek.  She was employed in sales by Sears and as a receptionist by Kendall Electric Co. until retiring because of disability in 1997.  In her spare time, Pamela enjoyed walking; biking; and time with her family, dogs and cats.  Survivors included her husband David, a son, Jeffrey D. Brooks; a daughter, Heather S. Brooks; a grandchild; her father, Donald Ashley; a brother Donald Ashley Jr.; and a sister, Deborah Swafford.  She was preceded in death by her mother Doris (Bake) Ashley in 1963.
