Donald R. Council.  Donald passed away on October 6, 2005, in Battle Creek.  Donald was a native of Petosky, and had been a resident of the Battle Creek area for 55 years.  He was currently on his thirty eighth year of employment as a pump assembler with Textron Union Pump formerly known as Union Pump. On September 7, 1985, he was united in marriage to the former Sheryl “Shelli” Marvin who survived.  Other survivors included children, Brian (Sandee Smith) Council, Tonya (Daniel) Back, Tiffany (Timothy) White, Teresa (Parker Bennett) Council, Timothy Fontes and Stacy Council; eight grandchildren; and sister, Beverly (Chuck) Beebe. He attended First Wesleyan Church, enjoyed his family, fishing, hunting, motorcycles, camping and traveling.
