Mark S. Erskine.  Mark passed away on June 22, 2008 at Battle  Creek Health System. He was a native and resident of Battle Creek. Mark was a machine operator at Kellogg's for twelve years until illness forced his early retirement. He held up a strong determination through many illnesses, including his liver transplant in 1993. Mark married the former Virginia Ann Peacock on June 15, 1984 in Springfield, MI. Survivors included his wife Virginia A. "Ginny" Erskine; four sons: David "Art" Ball, Richie Erskine, Kalab Erskine, and Jamie Erskine; two daughters: Dana Leininger and Lori Swafford; two brothers: Robert (Joyce) Erskine and Larry (Laura) Erskine; a very special cousin: Laura Henderson; twelve grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. He is loved and will be missed by many friends and family. Mark enjoyed spending quality time with his family, reading, grilling outdoors and especially working crossword puzzles.
