Richard Lee Gillespie.  Richard passed away on June 13, 2011 in Coldwater, Michigan following a short battle with cancer. He was a native of Battle Creek.  After marrying in 1977, Richard lived in several places around southern Michigan including Battle Creek, Three Rivers, Union Lake and for 25 years in Coldwater.  He worked 16 years at United Steel and Wire and 14 years as a machine operator at Morgan Olsen, a company that manufactures FedX trucks.  Richard’s greatest pastime interest was working on cars.  Richard was predeceased by 3 half-sisters and one half-brother.  Survivors included his wife Linda, daughter Deborah, son Christopher, 10 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, step-children Rickey and Vickie Edwards, sister Cathy Coston and half-sister Betty.
