Roberta Rench (Kilbourn)

Roberta Rench (Kilbourn)

Roberta "Bert” Joann Rench Kilbourn. Roberta passed away on January 19, 2009. She was a native of Marshall, MI. and was a resident of Otsego, MI. Survivors included her son, Roy (Tonja) Kilbourn, and daughter, Stacie (Paul) Adam; six grandchildren; one sister, Linda Rutherford; two brothers, Dana (Shirley) Rench and James Rench. After graduation, Bert found work at a few area factories. At one point, she was married for a brief time, but the marriage soon ended in divorce. Her second marriage was to Walter Kilbourn, who preceded her in death in 2006. For a number of years Bert worked at Life Care Center in Plainwell, and Metron in Allegan until Walt passed away. Bert had a large collection of bells, some of which were given as gifts, and some she found on her own. Each had their own special meaning to her. When Bert was not taking care of the house, raising her children, or working, she found time to sew, and enjoyed embroidery, as well. It was not uncommon to find Bert curled up at home, with a good book, or two, either! One of her greatest joys was satisfying her family and friends with her great cooking. Thanksgiving was always her favorite. A good friend to all, Roberta viewed each and every person fairly, and cherished her friendships. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her fun loving spirit will be remembered by all those who knew, and loved her.
