I didn't personally know Michael.  His photo shows a man with a zest and wholeness for life.  My thoughts go out to his family and all his friends.  May Mike continue to dance in green fields and a warm sun in Peace and knowing he lived a good life and was loved by many.  •-:¦:-•~PeA☾eFuL~♡~BLΣSSIИGS☾★ª''*:•-:¦:-

Mike was a fellow drummer in Central's bands. First met at Southeastern in the band there. Lost touch but for Facebook and we communicated through that. Hadn't heard from him for awhile so suspected the inevitable. He revered his veteran status and we related through that. Prayers lifted for his family.

I remember Mike well from our Marching Band days. When I visited Battle Creekduring our 50th Reunion, i lingered by the fence around the stadium.;  Memories of us marching in for a football game came flooding back.  It was an absolute thrill to assemble at the old band building, then march to the stadium.  The crowds could hear us coming in from a distance and you could just feel the crescendo of excitement.  These are things we'll never forget about being a Beatcat.  As one of our drummers, Mike was a major contribnutor to those great times.  He marched along with Bob Knox, another Bearcar drummer who recently passed away.  RIP Bearcats.

I am so sorry to hear this news, Mike and I go back a ways, in Band together, and all those memories, Mike was a happy guy, I got together with him before he moved and had breakfast at the pancake house, and you talk about reunions, those were some crazy band days for sure. Mike was a good friend, I remember his father taking up to a Detroit Tiger game, my first time ever! Rest in Peace Mike, tell Bob I said Hi, I know he's at peace!.
