Kay Schanzenbaker (Morris)

Kay Lorraine Schanzenbaker Morris.  Kay passed away on June 21, 1988 at Community Hospital in Battle Creek, MI., where she had been a patient one week.  She had previously been a patient of the Calhoun County Medical Care Facility for six years.  Kay was a native of Battle Creek.  She graduated from the former Patricia Stevens Career College in Minneapolis, Minn.  Kay married Kenneth Morris at Bethel United Church of Christ in Arlington, VA. on April 29, 1967.  While in Arlington, she worked for the U.S. Department of the Navy in Washington D.C.  She later resided in Harrisburg, PA. and Morgantown, W.VA., where she was employed by the federal government for 11 years until 1976.  She returned to Battle Creek in 1977.  She was a member of the First Congregational Church and the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.  Survivors included brothers Steven and Richard; stepfather, Robert Shaffmaster; three stepsisters and one stepbrother.
