Beverly Ann Thorpe (Hogue-Sirois)

  Beverly Ann Thorpe Hogue-Sirois

Beverly passed away peacefully on November 18, 2017 in her hometown of Battle Creek, Michigan. Beverly held two Masters degrees in Education, one from Michigan State University and one from Western Michigan University. She lived for a time in Houston, Texas and in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, before returning to Battle Creek where she worked as a teacher for more than 30 years--the majority at Urbandale Elementary—until she retired. Passionate about education, Beverly generously donated her remains to the WMU Medical Program. In her younger years, Beverly enjoyed flying. She also enjoyed gardening and traveling, including trips to all 48 continental states with her youngest daughter over two summers. Survivors included her husband, Marcel Sirois; her daughters: Barbara Niswander-Clontz, Brenda Gerena and Laura (Hogue) Lewis; nine grandchildren, and her sister Roberta Thorpe.
