Ruth Ann Yother Nye.  Ruth passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at her home in Battle Creek surrounded by her family. She was a native of Battle Creek.  She was united in marriage in 1966 to David L. Nye, who preceded her in death in 2003. Ruth was a homemaker and loved taking care of her family.  She loved swimming, motorcycling, sewing, doing puzzles, and going to casinos, preferably Las Vegas; but mostly spending time with her family and her grandchildren. In addition to her husband, David, Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, and six brother and sisters. Survivors included her daughter, Angela R. (Angie) Nye-Goudy; a son, Rod L. (Elaine) Nye; two grandchildren; three sisters, Mary (Frank) Abbott, Helen Cox, and Ruby; and a brother, Paul Yother.
