Margaret Spruill (Agnew)

Margaret A. Spruill) Agnew.  Margaret passed away unexpectedly at her home in Battle Creek on December 31, 2009. She was a native of Columbus, MS. She had been a diligent employee as a cook in the kitchen of Evergreen Manor for 21 years, retiring in April 2009. She married Lee A. Agnew on February 11, 1966 in Battle Creek; however he passed away on June 25, 1998. Survivors included three daughters: Rochelle Agnew; Michelle Agnew; and Charmaine Y. Agnew; a step daughter: Farrell (Rick) Rowls; one son: Martel C. (Shaleea) Agnew; ten grandchildren: Jannel Sherrod, Channel Sherrod, Tyanna Evans, Arieon James, Marquis Gray, Maryiah Agnew, Sha'diamyn Agnew, Tyanna Michelle Hopkins, Tyell Smith, and Tyrell Smith; 3 great-grandchildren: Aziaha Hill, Aniah Hill and Zarie Sherrod; three sisters: Ora Warfield; Cleo Carter and Onita Hubbard; three brothers: Richard Spruill, Jr., Louis Spruill, and Roosevelt (Ruby) Spruill. Margaret was preceded in death her husband, a sister: Lizzie Mae Hughes; four brothers: Walter, Climon and Jerry.  She relished the time she spent with her family and grandchildren and enjoyed the TV program "Law & Order." She rooted for the Dallas Cowboys football team.
