Sharon Gayle Herrell (Hildenbrand)

Sharon Gayle Herrell Hildenbrand. Sharon passed away on Tuesday, November 16, 1993, in Borgess Medical Center, Kalamazoo, after a brief illness. She was a native of Nashville, Tennessee and came to Battle Creek as a child with her family. She married Steven D. Hildenbrand on February 22, 1964. After graduating high school, Sharon attended Kellogg Community College. She last worked in the catalog department at Sears, Roebuck and Co., and also had been employed at Springlake Lanes, the Scottish Inn, Countryside Inn and Gaslight Lounge. Sharon enjoyed traveling, crocheting and an aerobics class at the Valentine Center. Survivors included Sharon’s husband Steve; a daughter, Vickie L Hildenbrand; a son Gerry Hildenbrand; her mother and stepfather, Gena and James Mulligan; sisters Elaine Paradise and Ellan Burke; and a stepbrother, Tom Mulligan.  In addition to her father, Sharon was preceded in death by a brother Darrell Herrell in 1986.

If I am remembering correctly, Sharon went by Gayle in grade school. Gayle and I used to walk to and from Verona School.  She was a quiet sweet girl! To her family, I am sorry for your loss.
