Joe passed away on December 3, 2019 at the Collinwood Nursing Home in Plano, Texas. He was a native of Battle Creek, Michigan and a resident of Plano at the time of his death. Other places Joe had lived included California, Tennessee and Washington state. Following high school, Joe worked as a painter with his father and brother to pay for his school at Brownwood College. He served 3 years in the United States Army, being stationed in Berlin, Germany while playing in the U.S. Army Band. Joe raised his three daughters in the state of Texas, where he began his career as a Minister and salesman. Thereafter, he moved to Washington State and raised his only son. He enjoyed spending his time with God, his family, friends, and his music. His family will remember him for the lessons and love that he shared. Survivors included Joe’s four children: Anna Berry; Rachel, and husband Ben Patterson; Sarah, and husband Michael Darden; and Matthew, and wife Katelyn Malcuit; brother Charles, and wife Suzanne Malcuit; sisters: Barbara Throop and Linda Loser. He is also survived by nine grandchildren.
