Barbara Jean “Bobbie” McClinton Morris 

Bobbie passed away November 13, 2020 in Battle Creek, Michigan. She was a native of Sentatobia, Mississippi and a resident of Battle Creek at the time of her passing. In spite of the Covid-19 regulations, God allowed her to be able to spend her last days with the love of her life, Fred Morris. She came to Battle Creek at the age of 6 with her mom Ida and sister Bonnie. Barb married Fred Morris August 4, 1995, and because of that union she became an instant mother to two children – Michael L. Morris and Stephanie (Morris) Boyd. Barb had many rewarding jobs. She worked as a nurse’s aide, clerical technician, asset protection, and Medical Records Associate at Bronson Hospital. Barb lived her life as a caring and helpful person. She devoted a lot of her time after retirement helping, taking care of, and spending time with her mom until her mom passed away in 2013. She really enjoyed shopping and buying everything in multiples; she has many rooms designated for her overflow! Barb also enjoyed decorating her home, playing the Wii Game System, and traveling with her husband, family, and friends. She enjoyed her iPad challenges, playing cards, casino slots, and watching soap operas and judge shows with her hubby! Barb was a big supporter of Love In Action Community Ministries. She and Fred willingly opened the doors to their home for initial meetings needed in order to open the doors of Love In Action Community Ministries. In addition to her husband, survivors included her step-children, Stephanie (John) Boyd and Michael L. Morris; her step-grandchildren: twins, Jalen and Jayla Boyd, Tayler Boyd, Tyree Boyd, Marc Morris, Nicole (Tim) Thompson, Arthur Gray Jr, Randy Gray, and Brandon Gray. Barb was blessed to have a host of great grandchildren; her sister, Bonnie (Michael) Nunnally and Bonnie’s children who affectionately called her “TT” -- DaNasia Smith-Nunnally, Allen Smith, Antuane Smith, and Jermel Smith II; and another other sister, JuTun Wilson. Barb also leaves behind a host of family and special friends who cared for her, adored her, and loved her style and humor. Barb was preceded in death by her mom, father Simmie McClinton, Step-father James Johnson, Grandmother Lena Hunt, Grandsons Courtney and Dominic Brown, and nephew Jermel Smith. Barb’s wish for those she leaves behind is don’t weep for a winner!
