Betty Joyce Favorite Palmiter

Betty passed away on March 22, 2024 in Battle Creek, Michigan. She was a native and resident of Battle Creek. In 1968, Betty married classmate Leon, aka Jonathan Marc, Palmiter; a union that ended in divorce. Betty attended Kellogg Community College and received her GED for graduation in 1985. Betty was a member of the Andrus Street Church of God where she faithfully served in the nursery for many years. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, playing Monopoly and other board games, and listening to Elvis music. She also enjoyed reading and in earlier years was a fan of stock car racing. Betty absolutely loved children and spending time with her family and church family. She was retired from Goodwill Industries. Survivors included Betty’s children, Carissa (Robin) Schragg, Mary (Philip) Dunlap and Delta Dawn Palmiter; her grandchildren, Meagan DeYoung, Austin Dunlap, Joshua Dunlap, and Caleb Dunlap; great-grandchildren, Mackenzie DeYoung and Jasper Dunlap; her sister, Penny Watson and several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Amber Dunlap; her parents; five brothers & sisters: Virgil Burton, Kenny Favorite, Larry (Anna) Favorite, Carey Burton, and Sandra Lemmons; and her ex-husband Leon in 2016.
