Herbert Ivan Ruger.  Herbert died November 29, 2000, in Battle Creek Health System. He attended KCC for one year. He served in the US Army from 1968 - 70 as specialist fourth class. He was stationed in Germany for some months. He was associated with Battle Creek Rendering Co. from 1969 to 1989 and was part owner of the company from 1975 to 1989. He was employed by Kruger Commodities in Holland from 1989 to 1997 and by Goodwill Industries since 1997. He married Janice Slocum on December 11, 1970. She survives. Also surviving are sons Erik and Jason.
