Robert P (Bob) Hind

Robert P. “Bob” Hind.  Bob passed away on Thursday, Nov. 18, 1997, in the Bay Pines Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Clearwater, FLa. He was a native of Battle Creek. In high school, he played baseball and tennis. He also attended Kellogg Community College. Bob served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, receiving the Bronz Star and Purple Heart. He married Debra Maurer in 1990. He was employed by the government holding various positions. Bob loved to fish and in earlier years he enjoyed deer hunting.  He was an avid reader who enjoyed his family. In addition to Debra, survivors included a son, Robbie Hind; stepsons, Stephen and Scott Paige; daughter, Genevieve Hind; three grandchildren; mother, Genevieve Hind; and sisters, Rosie Smith, Sherrill Crandell, Peggy Fuller and Gloria Williams.
