Judith Ann "Judy" Nielsen Church Birdwell 

Judith passed away on May 6, 2019 in Adrian, Michigan, where she was a resident. Her family moved to Adrian during her senior year and Judith completed high school at Adrian High School. Judith married Tracy Church, a union that ended in divorce. After raising their three daughters, Judith opened her own pet sitting business. In 1993, she married the late Richard Birdwell and gained 3 step-children. Upon retirement, Judith and Richard moved to Florida. They returned to Adrian when Richard’s health began to fail; he passed away in 2017. Judith’s survivors included her brother, Jim Nielsen, and nephew Charlie Nielsen; daughters, Cynthia (John) Birdwell, Sarah Church (Laura Sharrai) and Michelle (Eric) Church; stepchildren, Nancy (Craig) McClaren, Beth (Eddie) Croxton and Sue (Chris) Jones; grandchildren, Alexandra (Corey) Hall, John (Kelsey) Birdwell Jr., Samantha Birdwell, DJ Dempsey, Kayla Pelham, Morgan Dempsey and Ty Pelham; step-grandchildren, Alyssa Gillum, Rella Jones, Collin Jones, Henry Jones and Olivia Croxton, great-grandchildren, Corey, Lincoln, John Birdwell III "JB3" and baby Waylon on the way; and step-great-grandchildren, Marilee Gillum and Stephen Wolthuis. In addition to her husband Richard, Judith was preceded in death by her parents, George and Edna Nielsen; sister, Norma Johnson; brother, George Nielsen; niece, Lori Nielsen; and former spouse, Tracy Church.
