Sandra Jean Baldwin Burke. Sandra passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family, on Friday, May 29, 2026 in Battle Creek, Michigan. She was a native and resident of Battle Creek. Throughout her life, Sandra’s greatest joy was her family, and the love she gave them will remain a lasting part of each of their lives. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, and her absence will be felt deeply by all who loved her. Sandra enjoyed the simple moments that brought people together. She loved bowling, cooking, playing cards, and spending weekends at the race car track, where she proudly watched her daughter, Missy, race. She treasured evenings spent around bonfires, sharing stories, laughter, and time with the people she cared about most. Whether she was with friends or family, Sandra found joy in being surrounded by love, conversation, and the comfort of togetherness. Survivors included Sandra’s daughter Melissa Gleason; her daughter, Dawn Berry and her husband, James; and her son, Thomas Burke and his wife, LouAnn; her grandchildren, Lil’ Richard, Meghan, Brittany, Calissa, Jayme, Madison, Sandra, and Tommy; and her seven great-grandchildren, who brought joy to her life. She is also survived by her sister, Brenda Wilson; and her brothers, Gaylord Baldwin and his wife, Sharon, Donald Baldwin, and Brian Baldwin. Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert Donald Baldwin and Joyce Ruby (Dolph) Baldwin.
