Richard Lynn Basso.  Rick died November 4, 1991. That young man with the shock of blond hair in the 1965 yearbook was Rick Basso in his Troy Donahue period. After he had given up his Nehru jacket, Rick settled into a comfortable existence in jeans and t-shirts as he traveled across the world, never staying too long in any one place, whether it was Hong Kong, India, Japan, Thailand, the Philippines, or Turkey. Rick never let the grass grow too long under his feet as there was always someplace else that he wanted to explore. His letters from exotic locales never ceased to be entertaining.
