      Danny Ray Crawford

Danny, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on August 27, 2025. Born and raised in Battle Creek, Michigan, Dan was the son of Clyde R. Crawford and Donna M. Kopsell. Soon after graduating high school, Danny enlisted into the United States Air Force. He proudly served his country from 1965 to 1969, including a year in Vietnam during the war. After completing his service, Dan returned home to Battle Creek and, in 1974, married the love of his life, Linda L. Stellrecht. He dedicated 30 years of service to the United States Postal Service before retiring to enjoy what mattered most—family, friends, and the great outdoors. Dan was a true outdoorsman. He found joy in hunting, fishing, chopping wood, golfing, and cheering on the University of Michigan and Detroit sports teams. One of his favorite places on earth was the family cabin he built over 40 years ago in Mecosta, Michigan, a special place where countless cherished memories were made and “Pa stories” were told. Known affectionately as “Pa Crawford,” Danny’s warmth, humor, and generous spirit left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. Survivors included Danny’s loving wife, Linda; his four children, Scott, Jodi (Kerri) De Jonge, Just (Nicole), and Jake (Jacqueline); his five grandchildren, Taynan Anderson, Treyvan Fettes, Blakeley, Shelby, and Maizie Crawford; and his great-granddaughter, Korinna Anderson. He is also survived by his brother Gary (Judy) Crawford, as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Danny was preceded in death by his parents; his uncle, Bob Wolf; and his aunt, Joan Wolf. Follow the link below to view Danny's full obituary.
