Larry Douglas

Larry E. Douglas.  Larry passed away in Traverse City, MI. on July 29, 2008.  He was a native of Battle Creek.  Larry graduated Bemidji State College in Minnesota. He was a teacher in the Elk Rapids Schools for many years, where he will be remembered as "Mr. D".  Larry had a passion for living life to the fullest. Larry was an active member of First Congregational Church. He loved being outdoors skiing, running, biking, sailing and riding his motorcycle.  Larry loved his family and was especially excited about his new granddaughter, Anyah Eve.  Survivors included his wife, Michele; sons, Aaron (Channah) and Jess; sister, Laurel Campbell and special brother-in-law, Rick Campbell; sisters-in-law, Nicole (Robert) Allen and Andree (Gary) Wade; his mother, Theresa Douglas; mother-in-law, Faith Langlais; two nieces, Amy (B.J.) Pratt and Abby Allen; two nephews, Jacob and Luke Allen; special great-aunt, Pert Steady; beloved granddaughter, Anyah Douglas; as well as several other loving family members, co-workers and friends. He will be greatly missed.  Larry was preceded in death by a brother, Dennis Douglas.

Charles Henry "Chuck" Kirsch

Larry was a member of the Bemidji State College National Champion NAIA Medley Relay team.  Bufalo NY, 1967.
