Lana Fox (Parra)

Lana Kay Fox Parra.  Lana passed away on January 22, 2011.  She was a native of Battle Creek and resided in Ocala, FL.  Lana enjoyed chess, reading and antiques. Her favorite lake activities were fishing and swimming; others included cooking, cards, pool, and spending time with her grandchildren. Lana was interested in politics. She enjoyed time with her family and friends. She owned and operated an antiques business. Survivors included her mother and pa-daddy: Maxine (Charles) Dornton; brother: Larry (Irene) Fox; three nieces: Traci, Tammi and Toni; nine great-nieces and nephews; two daughters: Debbie Parra and Denise (Scott) Pyle; five grandchildren: Dillon, Nicholas, Gabriel, Ashley and Justin; and her fiancé and caregiver: Larry Conley.

Martha Hoffman

Good heavens, what do you say about Lana? She was such a Force-of - Nature. Those sparkling eyes...that infectuous smile...her sense of fun. She and Martha Lou stood up with me at my last wedding and she made it a rare event..."The Bearcat Wedding" as she called it. I really can't think of her that a smile doesn't come to my face. Miss you!

Peggy Bradley (Weipert)

I was so shocked when I saw Lana had passed. Yes, she was a force to be reckoned with. I remember ice skating at Irving Park Lagoon all the time with her. We weren't best friends but we were friends. Gone way too soon.
