Marcia Lee Gibson Lowman Askew.  Marcia passed away on March 18, 2007 at her residence, South Haven Manor in Hertford, North Carolina following a lengthy heart-related illness. She was a native of Seattle, Washington and lived in Battle Creek during her high school years. Shortly after graduation, Marcia left Battle Creek and married Irvin Lowman. Among other places, they lived in Alaska, where their two daughters were born.  Later years included a second marriage to Ross Askew and relocation to North Carolina. More than anything, Marcia enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. In addition to Ross, survivors included Marcia’s daughters Rebecca Walston and Suzanne Ward; three grandchildren, Alex Walston and Jeremy and Rachel Ward, her sister Sandra Gibson; and two brothers, Craig and Bruce Gibson.
