Mallie passed away on July 27, 2020. She was a native of Marshall, Michigan and a resident of Memphis, Tennessee. After graduating high school, Mallie married and later divorced John Hopkins. They lived for a while in West Virginia and Georgia before settling and raising a family in Memphis and the surrounding area. Mallie was an office worker for many years. She was a faithful member of Mullins Station Baptist Church and was a very active volunteer there. Mallie enjoyed being outdoors and participating in outdoor activities. She was a sports enthusiast and played softball for many years. She also enjoyed music and reading. She was a dedicated and loving mother, nana, sister, aunt and friend who loved the Lord. Survivors included Mallie’s children John Troy Hopkins (Jennifer) and Sean Christopher Hopkins (Kimberly); sisters Pat Thomas, Sue Randolph, Judy Almaraz, Carolyn Swallows, Juanita Thompson, and Brenda Clise; grandchildren Jamie, Sean T., Samantha, Ian, Delaney and Dylan; and her former husband. Mallie was preceded in death by her parents and sister Diane Poole.
