Michael Allen “Mike” Head.   Michael passed away June 29, 2012 in Sarasota, FL., where he had been a resident since 2003.  Mike was a native and resident of Battle Creek until his move to Florida.  Mike worked at Michigan Carton Co.; he also worked maintenance for homes and apartments in Battle Creek, and maintenance and plumbing for the Drain Team in Florida.  Mike was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the U.S. Navy.  He enjoyed fishing, the ocean, leather work, woodworking, and jewelry making.  Besides his wife Judy, survivors included his mother, June Head; his stepchildren:  Kathy Scott, Sue (Bob Tomkinson, Cindy (Bob) Peach, and Shelly (Bernard) Hall; 26 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; his brother, Gary (Donna) Head and his sister, Cindy (Cliff) Cheyne.  Mike was preceded in death by 2 granddaughters, Arianna Evans and Anastasia McCarthy.
