      Cynthia Winona “Cindy” Hibbard Hart

Cindy passed away on Saturday June 5, 2021 in Battle Creek, Michigan. She was a native and resident of Battle Creek. After high school, Cindy furthered her education at Kellogg Community College. Cindy married Michael P. "Mike" Hart, Jr. at the St. Philip Catholic Church on March 1, 1968; he preceded her in death on January 9, 2018. She retired from the State of Michigan in 1997 after more than 28 years of service. Cindy enjoyed traveling and had visited all of the lighthouses in lower Michigan, and all states east of the Mississippi. She also enjoyed camping, going to the fair, boating, swimming, snowmobiling, and playing cards, games, softball and other outdoor sports. Cindy served as past-president & treasurer of the Dudley Elementary PTA, past-secretary of the Battle Creek Central PTA, past-president of the WCG at North Avenue Church of God where she also served as secretary on the church board, past-treasurer of the Dowling Public Library, various positions on the Northside Snowmobile Club, and was a member of the Boots & Buckles 4-H Club. Survivors included her children: Susan "Suebe"(Steve) Washburn, Kristina (Kelly) Etheridge and Techia (Scott) Lohmann; six grandchildren: Autumn Hart, Tuganai Borina, Sydney Etheridge, Shelby Etheridge, James Etheridge, and Brian Harvey; four great-grandchildren: Leeland Harvey, Liam Yost, Meadow Yost, and Mia Borina; two sisters: Kay (Lester) Fawley and Sylvia (Mike) Terberg; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Cindy was preceded in death by a half-brother, Willard Hibbard, II.

Jane Ballard (McCracken)

Cindy and I worked together at the Calhoun Co. Dept. of Human Services.  Cindy was a hard worker and enjoyed sharing her big laugh with everyone.  Though I didn't know her in high school, I certainly remember her from working with her, for most of my working career.  Condolences to Cindy's family.
