Cecelia Ann Nelson Goff. Cecelia passed away peacefully at home on Friday March 6, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was a native of Battle Creek, Michigan and resided in Springfield, Michigan. In 1973, Cecelia married David Goff in Newport News, Virginia. Cecelia lived a life defined by kindness, resilience, and a deep devotion to the people she loved. She was a woman of quiet strength; steady, nurturing, and endlessly generous. Her presence made others feel safe, seen, and cared for. Whether through her warm smile, her gentle humor, or the way she always seemed to know what someone needed, she created a sense of home wherever she was. Throughout her life, Cecelia poured her heart into her family. She was a devoted mother, Nana, sister, and friend, and her greatest joy came from the moments spent with those she loved most. Her wisdom, patience, and unconditional love shaped the lives around her. Survivors included Cecelia’s devoted husband David, her 5 children: Glenn (Sherri), Jeff (Maggie), Carrie, Jason (Heather), and Erin (Chris). She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren: Glenn, Travis, Chryssa, Sheryl, Liam, Matthew, Danielle, Blake, Madison, Haley, and Dylan who will forever carry her memory in their hearts. She was preceded in death by her beloved brother Robert. Her legacy lives on in the love she gave, the lessons she taught, and the countless lives she touched.
