Rebecca Lee Potter West.  Beckie passed away on July 19, 1999 at Cherry Hill Manor in Battle Creek.  She was a native and resident of Battle Creek.  She was employed as a nurse’s aide by the Veterans Affairs Medical Center and retired in 1997.  Beckie married George West on July 27, 1984.  More than anything, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.  Survivors included her husband George; sons, Gary and Robert Ostrander; a daughter, Jena West; five grandchildren; and brothers, Franklin and Robin Potter.  Beckie was preceded in death by her father in June 1988 and by her mother on July 10, 1999, just 9 days before she died.
