Larry passed away on February 16, 2025 in Carmichael, California. He was a native of Battle Creek, Michigan and a resident of Citrus Heights, California.  After high school, Larry served an LDS mission to Sacramento, California and ended up making Sacramento his home. In 1970, Larry married the former Janet Burnside and they had 1 child. That union ended in 1974 and in 1977 Larry married Jeanette Valle and they had 3 children. Larry embarked on a successful career in the real estate and title industry. He also served in the National Guard. Larry had a wide range of interests that brought him joy throughout his life. He was an avid golfer and gardener, a dedicated fan of University of Michigan football, and he enjoyed bird watching. He also found great fulfillment in indexing genealogical records and cheering on his grandchildren at their sporting events. His commitment to community service was evident through his volunteer work with Citrus Heights HART. Larry was known for his charm and friendliness, always ready with a joke to bring a smile to those around him. His faith was an important part of his life, and he was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Garfield Ward. Survivors included Larry’s children: Rachelle Burnside, Dustin (Britt), Erica (partner Chris Miner), and Christina (Frank Giambattista); five beloved grandchildren: Jack, Carter, Preston, Sloane, and Violette; and former wife Janet. Larry was predeceased by his former wife, Jeanette, as well as his parents and two brothers Gary and Richard. Larry’s warmth and humor will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Sorry to hear about Larry's death.  He was one of a kind.  Always seemed to enjoy life. I knew him mostly from our days at Verona and W.K. He and his brothers came to our church for awhile.  They were a lot of fun. Hadn't seen or talked to him since we graduated. Then one day I got a post card from him saying he was in California.

Larry and I went from grade school to Jr. high and on to high school together. I had not touched base with him until recently; we shared a great love of country and what is right.  We shared posts on FB and agreed politically., I will miss his intellect and love of what is right for our country.  Rest in peace Larry🇺🇸

Larry was outspoken even in HS, you knew where he stood. Keep that in your next life.

I send my heartfelt thoughts to Larry's family.  I reember seeing Larry in the halls at BCHS.  I didn't personally know him, but he was often smiling and in good conversation with someone.  That alone says allot about a person.  I hope he is dancing on the other side, with joy of a good life lived.  Blessings
