Robert L. Karker.  Robert passed away on Friday, May 18, 2012 at home, surrounded by his loving family. Robert was a native of Coldwater, Michigan and a resident of Battle Creek. He served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He loved to golf, fish, and hunt. He was very hands-on, and often helped his children around the house. Survivors included his loving wife, Melinda; three daughters, Sandra Karker, Deborah Karker, and Sharon Karker; a son, Robert Karker, Jr.; five grandchildren, and one great-grandchild on the way; and seven brothers and sisters. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters.
