Sharon Lee Probst

Sharon Lee Probst. Sharon passed away on June 18, 2021 in her home town of Battle Creek, Michigan. Sharon attended high school through her junior year and graduated after 1965. Over time, she pursued higher education, eventually receiving three college-level degrees. Although Battle Creek was home, Sharon spent many of her younger years living in the Phoenix, Arizona area. Sharon was married three times. She had two children with her first husband, and adopted a daughter with her third husband. She was a stay-at-home mom when she was raising her children, but she also spent many years working in the banking industry. Sharon was an avid reader with a large collection of books. She had a particular interest in astronomy and religion. She also liked gardening, being outdoors enjoying nature, and animals--especially her pet dog and the Binder Park Zoo. About 10 years before her passing, Sharon suffered a mild stroke that resulted in her struggling with her ability to speak—a condition known as Apraxia. Survivors included Sharon’s two children from her first marriage, Timothy and Carren; her adopted daughter Jamie; and her former husbands. In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her younger brother James in 1999 and older brother / “Class of ‘65” classmate Fred in 2010.

Information from Richard A. Henry Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Battle Creek, Michigan online; website familysearch.org; several “Class of ‘65” classmates; and Sharon’s adopted daughter Jamie Probst

Sharon was my best friend for many years. She will be remembered as an independent women. We lost touch during later years when we moved to AZ 30 years ago
As young women we raised our children together.
