Robert Eugene “Bob” Tenuta Sr.
Bob passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2024 at his home in Battle Creek, Michigan. He joined the United States Army in 1966 during the Vietnam era and received an honorable discharge in 1968. In 1969, he married the former Cindy Lee Spyker and they had two sons, Robert and Toby. Bob's mom Rita owned Gracie's Grocery and his father Gene owned Gene's Hot Rod Shop, both on Main Street in Battle Creek. Bob worked for Grand Trunk Railroad and CN Railroad for over 32 years as a fireman, brakeman and conductor yard foreman. Bob loved the railroad, but was forced to retire in 2000. Bob had health issues for several years which kept him from doing a lot of things that he loved to do like golfing, bowling, and attending car shows with several of his classics. Survivors included Cindy; sons Robert Jr. and Toby; and other relatives. Bob was preceded in death by his mother, Rita (Charmeda) Tenuta; and father, Gene Tenuta.
